Psychology

Psychological care is aimed both at reducing the anguish of the parents – due to the suffering of the injured child, the uncertainty of the prognosis, and the feeling of guilt -, and the fear of the patients in front of a situation in which they feel assaulted after having experienced pain, associated with the accident and some therapeutic procedures. The support to the child and his family also allows the continuous treatment and the adequate compliance with the therapeutic activities that must be carried out at home. The acceptance of the changes caused by the accident also favors the help given to the children for their adaptation and social reinsertion in their environment.
